Cancer Exposed!

Does cancer do any justice to the one that has it?  Cancer is a topic of much controversy in the biblical field.  There are so many questions.  Most importantly, to have a thorough understanding of this topic we need to understand the history, the causes, and the cure.  Yes, I said cure.  The Bible, or should I say “God” does not lie.  First of all, he has never told a lie and we can “believe” that.  Finally, the Bible has the “answer” to any question.

I realize there are people going to say this author must be another one of them “nuts” that are cultish in thought and practice.  Well, people can call me whatever they wish, this nut is screwed on the right bolt. Why?  Because I am going to share with you what God says and not what Buddy thinks.  That is the only thing that matters anyway.

First, what is Cancer?  Cancer is a disease.  It is a disease that tries to destroy the flesh.  It was first given to the Egyptians because of sin.  Exodus 15:26 says, “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians”

Why does a person get cancer

Does that mean there is sin in someone’s life that has cancer?  No, it does not.  The reason that person has cancer in their life might not be because of them at all.  Should we have biblical compassion on them that do have cancer?

The answer is yes.  Should we have a doom and gloom attitude because of it, the answer is no.  Why?  Because God is in control of everything on this earth which we will go into a little deeper as we go along.  We will also explain this “sin” factor.

The ancient or biblical name for cancer is “leprosy” which also is destruction of the flesh.  Leprosy is mentioned 40 times in the bible.  Now, many may not believe this, but it is according to the bible, God said it so that is why I believe it.  There is a cure, and the cure is from our Lord.

Technology

Think about it.  Man can fly to Mars with all his technological advances but has not cured cancer. If they had many people would be unemployed.  Divine intervention is a cure.  Also, iF God decides to cure, you will be better off, if He decides you need to come to heaven you will still be better off.  Do you believe God?  Many centuries ago, around 1,500 B.C. ancient Egyptians used a process of catherization or “fire drill” to treat leprosy.

The first person thought to have cancer was a 3,200-year-old skeleton of a man 25 to 30years old, around the year 1,200 B.C.

Most importantly, did you know that God allows trials in your life from up to four generations prior?  He did in times past so why would He not today.  Exodus 34:7, “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”   There you have it.  God said it, I didn’t.

You may never know why you have cancer until you meet the Lord.  Then everything will be explained.  Besides, the thing is, it may or may not be your fault.  All we can do is trust the Lord.  It may be for someone else’s faith benefit.  That brings up another issue.  Are generational curses passed on?  Not curses, but consequences.  There is atonement to all.

  1. I’ve always been curious about why God chooses to heal some people and not others, at least here on Earth in the body. I know we will be healed in heaven. But I don’t see any place in the Bible where Jesus didn’t heal a person who came to him for healing. It’s a topic I am still working on understanding. I’m not so sure whether leprosy mentioned in the Bible was cancer? Can you tell us where you came across that? I thought leprosy was its own disease.

    • Hi Anna,  I appreciate your comment and I would like to share a few things from scripture. I would recommend reading the entire chapter of Leviticus chapter 13.  Words were used many times in the Old Testament more than they are used in the day we live.  For instance the word “Scourge” and “plague.” They are used today but in Old Testament days more often.  “Leprosy” was one of those words.

Leprosy was a “flesh eating disease”, just as cancer is today.  There was “skin” leprosy just as their is “skin cancer” today.  There is a deeper destruction  of the flesh in leprosy just as their is in cancer.  Leviticus 13:3 says ,“and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy:  , (like cancer.)  It can also spread as in verse 12.  It has exactly the same symptoms as today language of “cancer.”

The short end of all this is that there is a “cure” which is mentioned several times in scripture. Not from mankind, but by “divine intervention.”  Also God did not “cause’ leprosy, mankind did through sin.  Divine intervention He lets us know is through Him.  Those who have “cancer” are being treated for “symptoms.”  Everyone knows chemo kills good blood cells and can prolong it getting worse.  Remember in my post I mentioned how the results of sin could affect several generations with biblical proof?

Cancer may not be “because” of that person per say.  But our sin can affect other generations even in the future.  God can heal anyone!  He says that over and over in scripture.  I say it again, divine intervention. Their was actually a “law” of leprosy.”  There was strict guide lines to be followed prior to the New Testament.

In Old Testament times Priests would anoint with oil.  I personally have witnesses that being performed on an individual that was “terminal’ and guess what?  It worked!  It is not some kind of “hocus-pocus trick.  You can also find that in Leviticus 14: 16 and 17.  I hope this helps and if their is “anything’ in your life where there is a need always remember this, God said He would not put more on you than you can bear, and He said He would never leave you or forsake you.  God bless!

  3. Hi Buddy! I’m a firm Bible believer. I definitely agree that sin has caused a whole slew of our current ailments and diseases.  I haven’t heard that leprosy and cancer is the same thing.  I thought they were two different diseases, but I’ll definitely look further into that. What are your recommendations for Bible believers who suffer from cancer?  What’s the first step to recovery?

    • Hi Tiffany, I appreciate your comment,  and the first thing I would suggest is trust God more than you trust mankind.  Please look at the post comment addressed to “Anna” for a detailed explanation.  Recovery can be short or it can be long from what I’ve witnessed, not being a medical professional. I do know one who is in “control”  of ALL things.  We need to trust God. You say you are a firm bible believer, and that is a good thing.  Keep trusting God.  God bless!
