King James 1
Love believes all things. Now we all believe and love the Word of God. Then why would it not be just as important to discover why we believe it, trust it, and love it? Nothing is more important than the Word of God. It is what we live by. And if it is what we live by, then I want it to come from God, and not man. Man will let you down and God won’t.
This study series will show that a truth worth learning is a truth worth telling. Many teachers and preachers across our land talk about “preferring” and “using”, but I have not heard them speak much about “believing.” They are taught in college how to use, prefer, or recommend, but they are not taught on how to believe.
Thank God I don’t have that problem. We need not play make-believe about the Word of God. I believe it. The King James Bible is the preserved and infallible words of God. They can call me anything they want to, a King James only nut or whatever, but at least I’m screwed on the right bolt. I don’t go by what some other man claims by his religious thinkology. My Bible does not merely contain the Word of God; it is the Word of God. I’m sure of it, and we will see several reasons the KJB is the Word of God.
Psa 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever. Psa 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
These words state clearly that God’s preserved word must be available to us today, because God promised to preserve it for us. There must be an infallible book somewhere.
A fellow told me one time, he said, “All translations are God’s word, not just one. That’s impossible, because the various translations contain different readings, and God is not the author of confusion according to 1st Cor. 14:33.
If everyone is innocent, then where are those said to be guilty of subtracting from and adding to the Word of God according to Rev. 22:18-19? God could not have warned us about Bible perversions if it would not be a reality. According to the scriptures, there must be a single book that is the Word of God, and there must be many involved in corrupting the Word of God.
Infallible, according to the Webster’s dictionary mean “not capable or being wrong.” However, I know many people who believe the King James Bible to be an infallible book. Why? Because they know that the one true God has the one true book. You remember, the same God in John chapter 1 that says “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.” If my God is infallible, then His Word is infallible. And all, I mean all, the modern day perversions, are wrong, they are fallible. Look what God said:
God’s Word will never pass away
4 – Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. If His words didn’t pass away, then where are they? I want to read them. There has to be a perfect volume somewhere. I know the King James Bible is the Word of God because God promised to preserve His words.
The Authorized Version Was Translated Under A God-Ordained English King. The main subject of the Bible is the kingdom which God intends to give to His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will be crowned “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords”, according to Revelation 19:16.
Unlike the modern versions, the KJB was translated under a king. The Kings name was “James,” which is the English word for “Jacob”, whom God renamed “Israel”, because he had power with God and with men (Gen. 32:28).
The new versions have been translated in America, which is not a monarchy. God’s form of government is a theocratic monarchy, not a democracy.
Inspiration and Preservation
Another reason I know the KJB to be the Word of God, is because it has no copyright. The original crown copyright of 1611 forbids no one today from reprinting the Authorized Version. It was only copyrighted then to allow the printer to finance the publication. For over 400 years now we have been printing millions of copies of KJB’s without requesting permission from anyone. Over 800 million copies of the Authorized Version have been printed with no one paying royalties. This cannot be said of the new translations.
That it bears no copyright allows printing ministries throughout the world to print millions of copies each year for the mission field. I know the King James Bible is the Word of God because it has no copyright.
Another reason the KJB is the Word, is because God always translates perfectly. 2Sa 3:10 To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul. Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death.
If you noticed God was the one doing the translating each time. What’s the point? The point is that a translation can be perfect, if
Obviously God assisted them in their translating by the leadership of the Holy Spirit, and He assisted the King James translators. The scholars will never understand this, for most have quenched the Holy Spirit in their own lives by looking to higher education for truth, rather than seeking the Lord’s leadership according to John 16:13.
The Holy Spirit who inspired the Word of God through “holy men of God”, (2nd Peter 1:21), can quite guide His servants to keep the words which Jesus told us to keep (Jn. 14:23). The KJB translators were merely instruments which God used in translating and preserving His Word. I know the King James is the Word of God, because God can very use anyone He pleases as his very own instruments of righteousness to, preserve His Word.
Another reason it is the Word is because it produces good fruit. The Lord Jesus said that every good tree will bring forth good fruit, and we can know them by their fruits. (Matt. 7: 17-20).
God had the KJV translated to bring forth fruit, and it has been very obedient to the call. The greatest preachers of the past four centuries have been King James Bible Believers. Billy Sunday is said to have led more than one millions people to Christ, and he was a KJV believer. Spurgeon, Moody, Whitfield, and Wesley were all KJV men, and the list goes on. God has richly blessed the ministries of such as these because they stayed busy obeying His Word rather than questioning its authority.
The new translations produce evil fruit. The modern perversions of scripture are producing infidels who do not even know the Word of God, much less where to find it.
The new translations produce spiritual babies totally incapable of discussing Bible Doctrine. The new versions produce newer versions, which produce money for the publishers, and 1st Tim. 6:10 tells us the love of money is the root of all evil.
The Holy Spirit does not bear witness to the modern translations, but he bears witness to the King James. I spent several years of my Christian life not being aware of the big debate going on these days between King James Bible believers and New Age Version Believers.
The KJV produces good fruit, because the Holy Spirit bears witness to it like no other book in the world. It’s easier to memorize than any new version, and the beautiful old English language gives the reader the impression he is reading a Book very different and far superior to the rest. It reads different because it is different, and it is different because it has a different Author. We shall know them by “their fruit”, and I know the King James Bible is the Word of God because it produces good fruit.
1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
Sin in the heart
Like the serpent of Genesis 3:1, modern translators approach the scriptures in skepticism, saying, “Yeah, hath God Said?” This was the
first recorded sin in the Bible, and it still runs rapid through the hearts and minds of most scholars and new version promoters.
God has always allowed such people to be deceived because of the idols in their hearts (Eze. 14:1-9, 2nd Thess. 2:10, 1st Kings 22) A man who lacks faith in God’s Word is in no condition to translate it.
The KJV translators were not like this. Their scholarship far exceeded that of modern translators, yet they remained humble and allowed God to use them to produce an infallible masterpiece. They didn’t set out to “judge” and “correct” the Word of God. I know the King James Bible is the Word of God because the KJV translators believed it themselves.
Fishing for men is similar to fishing for fish. You have to lure them with the Word of God.
