The Bible Way

God’s Holy Word

God’s Holy Word, the Bible, which bible to choose has been a controversial subject for centuries.  The best advice this author can give, especially for people just starting their religious studies or journey, is to first take the advice of someone very experienced in scripture until you have taken the time to research if that person is correct or not according to facts, historical facts.   If you like history, you will find the study of the history of the bible very interesting.  The advice this author can give from His many years of experience until proven wrong is this:  use the Authorized King James Bible while you’re doing your own research until you are convinced it is the true Word of God.  It has never been proven wrong.

Are there  mistakes in the KJV?

Yes, some have said that it contains mistakes in it, but the people claiming that are the ones containing mistakes.  They may be referring to some grammatical changes the King James Bible committees made before its first publication for easier reading and understanding, but there are no contextual mistakes as there is in all modern-day versions.  It is critical in the day we live for the bible student to recognize falsehoods or lies when they see them. Only Satan is the author of confusion which he has been doing for centuries trying to destroy God’s Word.  ALL modern-day versions must come from somewhere so where do they come from?  They all come from the King James Version.  It’s just that they were then corrupted by adding too and taking away from like the bible says NOT to do.  The brilliant scholars caused this.

It is pathetic how the modern-day versions and translators have corrupted the Word of God.  On the next page I have a chart of how and when the corruption started.  When you look at the chart, notice there are only two bibles in the world, or should I say two lines of text.  There is the Antioch text line, and then there is the Alexandrian text line.  You the reader is welcome to study this out.  ALL modern-day versions come from the Alexandrian line, and the King James comes from the Antioch line.  The modern day “perversions” was borrowed and then corrupted FROM the Antioch line. Many corruptions have begun in the last few centuries.

What We See

A cross laying on a bible

This author sees corruption creeping into the churches, even some of the Independent Fundamental churches.  It is happening because of “political correctness” and the “good ole boy” syndrome.  What do I mean by that?  If people are friends with pastors whether they are speaking biblically correct, they stand for the incorrect speaker before they will stand for the truth.  Another word for that is “compromiser.”  People compromise the truth for friendship. There is more of that going on than you might imagine.  I support biblical pastors, but if one says something that is not biblical, I’d rather go by what the bible says.  Men can be wrong, God is ALWAYS right.  When you look at it a little closer it is not what we think, but what God says that is truth.

The Average Layman

I ask the average layman this, have you taken the time to observe what leaders of the church and elsewhere are speaking and how it lines up with the Word, or are you just not that interested?  If we don’t study “truth” how will we know deception and lies when they come around?  Please observe the chart on the next page.

Corruption in the Church

Corruption is creeping into the church.  Let me give you an example.  Since everything is based off the words of the King James, the NKJV or New King James is being touted as one of the grandest bibles around, since it comes from the King James.  What the average lay person is not aware of, is that it also has been corrupted by the modern day so called “scholar.”  The following words are omitted: “Lord” 66 times, “God” 51 times, “heaven” 50 times. Besides, “fornication” 23 times, “repent” 44 times. Also,“blood” 23 times, “hell” 22 times, “devil” 26 times, “Jehovah” entirely, “new testament” entirely, damnation” entirely, “soul” 137 times.

As you can see on the chart protestants came from the Antioch line, but the Independent Baptists are not “protestants.”  Many of the “protestants” have corrupted the Word.  I think it is somewhat humorous when people carry on and on about “racial” this and “racial” that.  I’m aware of my biblical race. If we are not “Jewish” then we are “Gentile.”  I know I am a Gentile that has been “grafted” into the family of God.  I’m thankful for that race.  Regardless of your race, if you are a “saved Gentile” you belong to the Lord.  When it is all said and done, that is all that matters. A day is coming when race is irrelevant.  Think about that for a while.

Justification

How can anyone justify any such deletions?  All that change in the bible they claim they are making the bible easier to read than the King James.  That is not true.  They remove simple words and replace them with more difficult words.  Tested were the reading levels of all the versions. The easiest to read was the King James. But, once again, people will believe a lie before they will the truth, and most people will claim the King James is hard to read and it is just not true.

What the bible requires is “study”, not just reading.  But that requires effort, which many do not want to pursue because it might require sacrifice of time and effort.  God has never claimed that being a Christian would be easy no more than it was easy for Christ to walk up Calvary.  You can have the bible memorized from front to back and it is not worth a plug nickel unless “obedience’ is there.  That is the whole purpose of scripture, is obedience.

Truth or Lie

the word truth with magnifying glass

Truth or Lie

Comparisons

Why Jesus truth?  The whole universe falls under two categories.  Anything you mention is either of the truth or it is certainly in the lie category.  Our faith and our lives are lived and operate by the “Truth” or a “Lie.”  It does not matter what you mention it falls under one of those headings.

Which do you believe, the truth or a lie?  Do you know that even more of people will believe a lie before they will the truth?  That is certainly sad but it is true.  That statement is not according to me, most importantly, but according to what God communicated to mankind through His Word.  The Lord, Jesus Christ said, most noteworthy, “I am the way, the truth, and the light.”  Therefore we can believe Him when He says that certainly.  And Satan is “the father” of all lies.  Finally, in contrast, we either believe the truth or we believe a lie.

Truth Benefits

The “truth” will be beneficial to you or help you and a lie will always harm you.  First of all, had you rather be harmed or benefited?  It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, besides did you know most people bring about their own misery.  Many do not want to hear that because they look at themselves as doing no wrong, rather many are in for a “rude awakening.”

Did you know that God don’t lie?  He has never told a lie.  The truth He shared with us in the Bible of His Son Jesus is something you can believe.  It is not a fairy tale like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny.  Furthermore, I’ll give you a few examples of “truth” and “lie”, although their are literally millions of examples in everyday life, certainly.

Example

The word honesty

For example, this is going to touch a nerve with a  lot of people certainly.   A local television station promotes breweries daily.  Why?  For one thing, profit certainly.  Beer companies pay the station big bucks for advertising their beer. Then, they receive a large profit from the advertisements as a result. You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.

Lies

You tell me the answer to these questions.  Is beer good for your body?  The answer is no, because it can destroy the flesh through liver disease or causing accidents through drunkenness, most importantly.  The bible says in Galatians 5:21 – Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  I did not say this, God did.

Beer therefore being good for you would fall under the “lie category,” because, believing a lie will harm.  The truth is what the bible says.  The truth will benefit you.  Stay away from beer and it will benefit you.  I want to ask you a question.  Do you live by lies or the truth?

Does the TV stations not realize there are other folks that find that offensive to their belief system?  You can call me a nut if you wish, I am screwed on the right bolt.  Your beer and what you think will not change the truth.  The truth will stand for all eternity.  It is a matter of obedience and believing God.  Some call that faith.  Most importantly, it is funny when anybody speaks “truth” they suddenly become the “bad guy.”

The Devil : the father of lies

The word lies

This is only one example, there are millions more where the “truth” always wins out.  The devil will lie you right into Hell!  A day is coming, most importantly, the bible says, when every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess who is “Lord”, as a result of this “truth” we have been sharing on this post.

Have you ever really contemplated on having more peace in your life?  You can visit another post on this website titled Peace.” Consequently, we need to maintain an attitude of trying to keep the peace among our brothers and sisters in Christ, but likewise among those we meet along the way.

Born Again

Salvation

Born Again

Does God Say That All Are Good? “There is none righteous, no not one:”  Romans 3:10.

GOD SAYS THAT ALL ARE SINNERS Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

GOD TELL US THE REASON ALL ARE SINNERS
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

GOD TELLS US THE RESULT OF SIN
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

GOD TELLS US OF HIS CONCERN FOR SINNERS
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

God’s Plan of Salvation makes it plain.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

Christ on a cross

The word “confess” means to agree with God that you are a sinner and that Jesus alone was your substitute in death on the cross.

To “believe in thine heart” means to make a commitment of yourself to the living Christ as your hope for eternity.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

Reflection

Have you taken the time to sit down and reflect on the things of God?  Are you 100% sure you are going to heaven?  Above all, God wants you to be sure, because He loves you.  Besides, this is what He says in scripture.  Most importantly, I do not wish anyone to doubt their salvation but ask yourself if you are sure you are going to heaven.  Hence, if you are not sure, the bible says today is the day of salvation.  Finally, most importantly, it changes not only your life, but furthermore the lives of others.  For the reason that it not only not guarantees you a place in heaven, but you can then be a better witness for others, as a result.

Believe

So, for the reason that Jesus loved us, just believe that Jesus walked the earth in the flesh, (or God in the flesh), was crucified, furthermore died for your sins, and rose from the grave and three days later, that those who believe could certainly have life eternal.  Seems like, people in the modern era, due to busy lifestyles, spend less time reflecting on the things of God, as a result pulling farther away, even more.   Furthermore, to keep true peace, we certainly need to likewise stay in His Word, above all maintaining that peace.  Finally, God first loved you, while we were yet sinners.

Prophecy 1

Little girl reading a bible

Prophecy

Prophecy 1

I would like to ask you a question this morning.  What is prophecy?  Did you know the Bible defines everything that it talks about? You do not necessarily need lexicons, Bible dictionaries, or concordances.  Those are helpful aids and I recommend them, but if you only have a Bible, you can make it.  The Bible is self-defining, self-interpreting, and self-commenting.

The Bible tells us what prophecy is, and to understand prophecy we need a complete revelation from God.  For example, you cannot understand the book of Leviticus without the book of Hebrews.  You cannot understand Isaiah without the gospels.  You cannot understand Daniel without the book of Revelation.  So, we need the complete revelation of God to have a complete understanding of the things God is talking about in the Bible.  This becomes clear when one reads in the Bible that the very prophets who wrote the Bible really did not understand it:  They did not have the complete revelation.

Types of Language

The Bible uses three types of language.  It uses a figurative language.  An example of figurative language is when Jesus said, Let the dead bury the dead (Mt. 8:22), and you know that corpses do not go around burying other corpses.  That is figurative language He was using.  Also, the meaning of figurative language is always clear from the context where you find it.

A bible and a coffee cup

Then there is the symbolic language.  The Bible uses thousands of symbols, and these symbols always represent something else.  For example, the four beasts in the book of Daniel, we are told, represent kingdoms.  The symbols that are found are always explained in the context where they are found or somewhere else in the scripture.

Every symbol in the Bible is explained somewhere in scripture.  People say, “Well, you cannot understand the Book of Revelation.”  I had a Sunday School teacher (not you John) tell me one time that he wished they would take “Revelation” out of the book, because, he said, no one can understand it anyway.  He was only showing his stupidity.  Every symbol in Revelation is explained somewhere in the Bible, and most of them are found in the book of Revelation itself.

Literal Context

Finally, the most commonly used language in the Bible is literal language.  If you can take it literally, that is the way you need to take it.  If the plain sense makes sense, then don’t look for any other sense.  The Bible means what it says, where it says, and how it says it.  People try to change it around because they are smarter than God.  Let me give you an example.  I am a firm believer in context.  But people can take that too far sometimes.  God loved Jacob and He hated Esau.  Well, if you keep it in context…. When I hear someone using that term more than they should, do you know what that tells me.  It tells me they do not believe what the Bible said.

There is no mistaking when the Bible is literal.  I’ve had this happen and you probably have too:  When all you do is read someone a passage of scripture and they do not like it, they say, “Well, that is your interpretation.  If they don’t say that that they say “Well, you can take the Bible and teach anything that you want to teach.”  They know what it means, but they are rejecting it.  You ought to take everything in the Bible literal if you can take it that way.  It means exactly what it says. There is no fooling around with God.  If you do not believe in the Authority of the Bible, you will not believe the Bible.

Allegorizing Scripture

Four books piled on top of each other

We need to avoid allegorizing scripture.  We need to avoid spiritualizing scripture.  There are people who would spiritualize the whole Bible away until it did not really mean anything when they were through with it.  There are three things we need to avoid when we are handling the Word of God:

One of these is misinterpretation.  For example, if I told you to open your Bible to John 3:5, and it says, Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  But I say, “Except a man be born of water and the blood, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”  Then I said, “You see there, you have got to be baptized to be saved.”  That is a misinterpretation. John 3:5 is not talking about baptism at all.  There are no baptisms within 20 verses of John 3.

Then, there is a misapplication of scripture.  Acts 2:38 does not apply to you.  You are not a Jew in Jerusalem.  You are a Gentile, and that passage does not apply to you at all.  This verse is the foundational verse for the charismatic movement, and it is a misapplication of scripture.A person's hands folded

Dividing truth

Most importantly, the trouble is that people are not willing to let the Bible say what it says, where it says it.  People are not willing to do that.  They want to change it, and want to correct it, wishing to interpret it.  Some want to do ‘this and that’ instead of letting it say what it wants to say.

Look at the verse on the screen.  So, Study to shew thyself approved unto God (If you are a Christian who never studies the Bible, you are not approved; your life is unapproved.), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  The problem is that people do not take the time and the effort to study out and rightly divide the Word of Truth.  Finally, it is really amazing the number of Christians who want to be spoon-fed.

Seems like, if this is what you want, you are a baby.  If you are too lazy to get the food out, take the lid off the jar yourself, get the spoon out, and eat it, you are a baby.  Even more, there are too many Christians that way.  They never study the Bible.  They want to be spoon fed everything about it.

Using God’s Word

Therefore you should develop the habit that when you have a question about the scripture, first of all, you do everything you can to find the answer before you ask someone else.  Finally, use the Word of God in a sensible way.  See how to get around in it.  Learn how to use concordances. se whatever you need to get the answers to your questions.  Then if you cannot find it, go ask someone.  The trouble is that people do not let the scriptures say what the scriptures want to say. They want to interpret them.

First of all, there are four things we have to know if we want to rightly divide the word of truth.  1.  We have to know, first of all, who is speaking in any given passage.  Is God talking?  Is it Moses or the apostle Paul?  Who is it that is speaking?  2. Secondly, to whom is that person speaking?  Is the verses speaking to Israel nationally?  What about talking to a church?  Or speaking to an individual Christian, Gentiles or the heathen?  To who is he directing this message. Third, what is he talking about in the scripture?  It is amazing that an individual Christian will pick up his bible, read two or three chapters and say that he has read his bible today.

Well, what was it about?  ‘I do not know’ is the usual response.  Christians have devotion in the morning and by 9:00 at night they have forgotten what it was they have read about.  They do not know what it is about.  Ask yourself some questions while you are reading the Book.  Find out what it is doing and what it is talking about.

A bible with trinkets

Dispensation

Fourth, find out when it is taking place.  What dispensation is it?  Ask yourself, does this apply to the church age?  Or does it apply to the Tribulation Period?  Does it apply to Israel in the land?  Or does it apply to Israel in their dispensation?  What dispensation is he talking about in the scripture?

If you will answer those questions while you are studying any given passage, you will not get into heresy.  It is impossible to rightly divide the word of truth without doing these things.  If you are not doing them, it will lead to every kind of heresy there is.  Every single false teaching that is found comes from not rightly dividing the word of truth.  Do not ever try to make the B

Most importantly, what is Prophecy? Let us allow the Bible to tell us what prophecy is from the Book of Revelation.  Re:1:1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Re:1:2: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Re:19:9: And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Re:19:10: And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, see thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Prophecy

A purple flower on a bible

Finally, the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.  “I am like you are, John.  You are a prophet and I am a prophet.  And what we are ordained to do is give testimony of Jesus.”

Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ.  That is all it is according to the definition given in scripture.  Re:22:8: And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.  Evidently, the one John is bowing to is one of the prophets.  The prophet tells John that he needs to stay with the testimony of Jesus, and His testimony is the spirit of prophecy.

Therefore, if prophecy is the testimony of Jesus, we must conclude that the entire Bible is in the testimony of Jesus Christ, from Genesis to Revelation.

1Pe:1:6: Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

1Pe:1:7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

1Pe:1:8: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1Pe:1:9: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

A bible opened

Suffering and Glory

First of all, notice the two great themes of prophecy.

The sufferings of Christ, the first advent.

  1. The glory that should follow, the Second advent.  Those are the two themes of prophecy – the first coming of Jesus Christ and the Second coming of Jesus Christ.  The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

2 Pe:1:18: And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

2Pe:1:19: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, ( The more sure word here is the written Word of God, and what he has been referring to in the last few verses has been the mount of transfiguration from Mt. 17, on which Peter, James, and John went up with Jesus.

And Peter is saying here that with this written Book, you have a more sure word of prophesy than if you heard a voice from heaven.  By the way, you are not going to hear a voice from heaven.  If you hear voices, you better check it out because it is not coming from God.) as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (This is a reference to the rapture)

Future Glory

Hands holding a bible

2Pe:1:20: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

So, what did they speak about?  Jesus.  They wrote about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow.  So, the prophetic scriptures from Genesis to Revelation are the testimony of Jesus Christ.  They speak of His sufferings and His glory.

Hence, the Old Testament prophet did not quite have the perspective that we have today.  He is standing in the distant past and he is prophesying of two things.  What is the first thing?  The sufferings of Christ are the first thing.  And what else?  The glory that should follow is the second (that is a crown.) What does the prophet see?  He does not see the valley between the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow, which is the church age.

You do not find the church age clearly given in the Old Testament.  The OT prophet sees the sufferings and he sees the glory, but he cannot reconcile the two.  He cannot understand them.  We read that in 10 – 1Pe:1:11: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,

A closed bible

Old Testament Visions

Let us get an example in Isa. 61 of the Old Testament prophets not being able to see quite as clearly.  Isaiah did not see the comma that he put in a verse, but Jesus did see it.  And it comes out very clearly.  Not only is every jot and tittle important, but the punctuation as well. There is one comma here that divides both advents in the same verse, and you can find similar occurrences often in scripture.

Isa:61:1: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;

Another scripture says in Isa:61:2: To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;  Can you see the two advents?  Where are they?  They are in verse 2:  First advent – to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. (comma); and the Second Advent – the day of vengeance of our God.

Jesus reading scripture

(Jesus quotes this until the first comma and then stops because the Second Advent will not apply when He is here the first time, although Isaiah did not know this when he prophesied.)  Lu:4:16: And he (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

A opened bible

Lu:4:17: And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

Lu:4:18: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (v. 19 is found in Isa. 61:2)

Lu:4:19: To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Lu:4:20: And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

Lu:4:21: And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture (up to the comma) fulfilled in your ears.

Does God Love Everyone?

Figure of a man with a question mark

Does God Love Everyone

Most importantly, does the Bible teach that God loves everyone?  The answer is NO.  That is the humanist view.  Romans 9:13 –  Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated.  There are two classes of people, those He loves, and those He hates.  John-3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Above all, man, is not the measure of things, God is.  If we tell unbelievers God loves you, then there is no need of a mediator, God loves them anyway, then there is no enmity between God and man, that would make peace between the unbeliever and God and no reconciliation.  That is a false gospel.  False gospel can cause a false salvation.

Cancer Exposed!

Disease

Justice

Does cancer do any justice to the one that has it?  Cancer is a topic of much controversy in the biblical field.  There are so many questions.  Most importantly, to have a thorough understanding of this topic we need to understand the history, the causes, and the cure.  Yes, I said cure.  The Bible, or should I say “God” does not lie.  First of all, he has never told a lie and we can “believe” that.  Finally, the Bible has the “answer” to any question.

I realize there are people going to say this author must be another one of them “nuts” that are cultish in thought and practice.  Well, people can call me whatever they wish, this nut is screwed on the right bolt. Why?  Because I am going to share with you what God says and not what Buddy thinks.  That is the only thing that matters anyway.

First, what is Cancer?  Cancer is a disease.  It is a disease that tries to destroy the flesh.  It was first given to the Egyptians because of sin.  Exodus 15:26 says, “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians”

Does that mean there is sin in someone’s life that has cancer?  No, it does not.  The reason that person has cancer in their life might not be because of them at all.  Should we have biblical compassion on them that do have cancer?

The answer is yes.  Should we have a doom and gloom attitude because of it, the answer is no.  Why?  Because God is in control of everything on this earth which we will go into a little deeper as we go along.  We will also explain this “sin” factor.

The ancient or biblical name for cancer is “leprosy” which also is destruction of the flesh.  Leprosy is mentioned 40 times in the bible.  Now, many may not believe this, but it is according to the bible, God said it so that is why I believe it.  There is a cure, and the cure is from our Lord.

Technology

Think about it.  Man can fly to Mars with all his technological advances but has not cured cancer. If they had many people would be unemployed.  Divine intervention is a cure.  Also, iF God decides to cure, you will be better off, if He decides you need to come to heaven you will still be better off.  Do you believe God?  Many centuries ago, around 1,500 B.C. ancient Egyptians used a process of catherization or “fire drill” to treat leprosy.

The first person thought to have cancer was a 3,200-year-old skeleton of a man 25 to 30years old, around the year 1,200 B.C.

Most importantly, did you know that God allows trials in your life from up to four generations prior?  He did in times past so why would He not today.  Exodus 34:7, “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”   There you have it.  God said it, I didn’t.

You may never know why you have cancer until you meet the Lord.  Then everything will be explained.  Besides, the thing is, it may or may not be your fault.  All we can do is trust the Lord.  It may be for someone else’s faith benefit.  That brings up another issue.  Are generational curses passed on?  Not curses, but consequences.  There is atonement to all.
